The opening chapters are very practical, not just theory, and the section on intensity levels made it easy for us to find a starting pace. I just wish it had a few more illustrations to break up the text, but the ideas are solid.

The chapter on mixing playful and strict dynamics was way more practical than I expected, made it easy to talk to my partner without it feeling awkward. Only reason it's not five stars is the cover feels a bit flimsy after a few reads, but the content itself is solid for beginners.
